MAMMOOTTY AS AN ACTOR IN PRITHVIRAJ's ONEWAY TICKET

Mammootty is once again playing a superstar after the stupendous success of Katha Parayumbol in Bipin Prabhakar’s One way ticket. It is a casting coup of sorts for writer Babu Janardanan and Bipin Prabhakar as Mammootty has agreed to do the film with Pritviraj playing the hero.

In One way ticket Mammootty is playing himself, the “superstar Mammootty” while Pritviraj will play his crazy fan Kunjappu, president of Mammootty fans association!

The story written by Babu Janardanan is set in Kondotty in Malappuram district, Mammootty’s traditional stronghold. Kunjappu played by Pritviraj is a well educated youth who due to circumstances is forced to be a taxi jeep driver.

The first half is full of comedy bringing to focus the issues among the youth in Malappuram like Kuri Kalyanam and how football especially English premiere league is becoming a craze among the youth. In a way it will also bring to focus Mammootty’s love for football and his plans to popularize the game in the state.

The second half of One way ticket will move like a racy thriller, as Mammootty comes to celebrate the 100 days run of his film in a Kondotty theatre, being celebrated as an event by his fans. The shoot of the film is starting on March 27 in Palakkad and surrounding areas.
