Thulasidas - Dileep controversy Dileep200508_1

A new controversy between Dileep and director Thulasidas has been brooding for a couple of weeks in Mollywood, which may finally lead to a a fight between MACTA and Producers' Council. Both the organizations are now getting ready to clash with each other over this issue.

The current issue began with Thulasidas complaining in the MACTA about Dileep showing reluctantance to star in his new film 'Kuttanaadan Express' that Tulasidas haas already announced. The director claimed that the actor has already taken advance for acting in this film .

Dileep busy with the production activities of AMMA's maiden project 'Twenty - Twenty', seemed to have stated that he will not act in any more Thulasidas film unless the director produce a clear hit in the box office.

Dileep was not prepared to take a chance with starrer 'College Kumaran' The MACTA association under Vinayan's leadership, wasted no time asking for explanation from Dileep and forwarding the complaint to AMMA, the artists association.

But Dileep's explanation came as a round turn of the whole mentioned events. He stated that as Thulasidas was busy shooting for the Mohanlal film on the dates that Dileep earmarked for the film, the actor was left without any work on the said dates.

So Dileep asked for a compensation for spoiling his dates. He further mentions that he will work with the producer of the film with any other director as he has already taken the advance, but will not work under Thulasidas.

The Producers' Council who was watching the whole situation announced that they were going to support Dileep in this ordeal and threatened to completely halt the production of all the films if MACTA didn't withdraw the plans to ban Dileep and the producer of 'Kuttandan Express'.

The Council claims that they have the support of AMMA in this issue. Anyway the tradecircuits of Mollywood are keeping a close watch on what will happen in the next couple of weeks.
