Vande Matharam-A big-budget bilingual
Henry who has made memorable films in Malayalam and Tamil has completed his big budget bilingual Vande Matharam in Malayalam and Aruvadai in Tamil. It is directed by T.Aravind. Mammootty plays an officer in the Intelligence Bureau and Arjun the
action king of Kollywood plays a superintendent of police. The story is
about an international terrorist organisation that infiltrates into the
country. There is a lot of action and promises to be an edge-of-the
seat thriller. Says Henry: “The story is about terrorists, farmers’
plight and has a national colour to it” Henry is trying to rope in Big B to make a guest appearance in the film
as the Chief Minister. Sneha plays Mammootty pair and she is a pilt
while Sraddha is Arjun’s girl who is an ornithologist. Deepak J.D.
plays the villain, while Jagadish assists the big cops. Rajan P. Dev
has a plum role. Jai Akash plays the role of an ASP. Rajesh Yadav is the cinematographer and the film was shot at locations
in Kochi, Chennai, Marthandam, Thengapattanam and a few other places.
There are five songs tuned by Vidyasagar. While Gireesh Puthencherry
and Sharatchandra Varma pen the Malayalam lyrics, the Tamil verses are
written by Pa Vijay, Vairamuthu and Yugabarathi.
