POLICECASE AGAINST SURESHGOPI

A lawyer in Kochi M.A Feroze, has filed a criminal petition against Malayalam cinema's most popular actor in a cop's role Suresh Gopi for coming in police uniform for a public function!

The incident took place in Kochi when Suresh Gopi who was shooting for a film as a cop had no time to change his uniform and went for a public function to speak on the importance of police force, dressed as a police officer, which has caused an uproar.

Gopi defended his action saying that he had no time to change his clothes and after all he was attending a function where the topic was ‘Policemen as our role model in society’. Real life Assisstant Police Commissioner P.M Varghese, Central DIG Venu, and other top police officials were there at the function who welcomed Gopi.

Legal experts believe there is nothing much in the case, if Gopi apologizes in court. Added to that the actor, was not wearing any police cap at the function. The court has posted the case for hearing on May 3.
